Alexandria DeJoy lives and creates in Fort Collins, Colorado.

She graduated from The University of Northern Colorado, with a Bachelor's degree in Art & Design with an emphasis in Painting, a Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship, and a minor in Psychology.

She works in a variety of mediums, favorites include acrylic and mixed media paintings, watercolor, and silk painting. Alexandria also hand-fabricates jewelry using metalsmithing techniques, and is self-taught in glass lampworking.

Born and raised in a rural mountain region in Colorado, Alexandria draws inspiration from her lifelong appreciation of all things nature. She has a particular affinity with organic forms, flora, and botanical imagery. She aims to illustrate comparisons between natural phenomena and the human experience.

Alexandria is passionate about the cathartic aspects of creating and helping others heal through making art. She hopes to further her education and start an Art Therapy practice where she can merge traditional cognitive behavioral therapy methods with the creative process to help reconcile emotional and behavioral conflicts.
